This is a one-year contracted position with the possibility of joining our Board of Directors. The ideal candidate for this role is someone that has the availability to support our organization during this stage of growth and navigate the next steps.

In this role, you will be elevating our fast-growing organization by delivering exceptional results. You are a self-driven management professional who excels at guiding organizations to accomplish their strategic objectives through effective execution. You have the proven ability to effectively lead small to medium size transformation projects with ambiguous structure and varying technical and organizational requirements. The Business Manager will thrive when they can dig in with their sleeves rolled up from day one to understand the internal landscape, build relationships with the team, and follow through on execution to achieve the desired outcome.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Listen: to gain a deep understanding of the non-profit space, our goals, and relevant problems to deliver solutions

• Structure: break down the ambiguous and build a roadmap to discover and implement solutions

• Create: design effective tools and business plans while developing processes to analyze the current state and define the future state

• Execute: lead and implement improvement initiatives to achieve desired results

• Measure: identify scorecard reporting data points and dashboards to achieve a target ROI

• Sustain: prepare a seamless transition for volunteer base to sustain long-term results

• Resolve: Proficient at recognizing and diagnosing potential organizational hurdles.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in project/program management with proven success managing projects utilizing various recognized methodologies

• Internal or external consulting experience preferred

• Demonstrated experience in business analysis and business plan writing including gathering/documenting technical business requirements and/or process maps and presenting information to Board members

• Proven skills in the identification and resolution of organizational challenges

• Experience collaborating with peers, identifying project needs, driving resolution, and holding team members accountable

• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to executive organizational leaders (verbal and written)

• Proven ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment

• Comfortable handling ambiguity and managing multiple assignments.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively expand professional networks through strategic relationship building and engagement

• Ability to communicate and work effectively across all levels within an organization

• Intermediate or high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent previous experience.

YES Together Foundation is seeking an experienced GRANT WRITER with persuasive writing skills to join our dynamic development and operations team. This position plays a strategic role in helping to raise support from foundations, corporations, and government sources requiring formal proposals for a non-profit dedicated to serving young people. YES Together Foundation offers impactful training opportunities, a supportive remote or hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to new funding opportunities through the development of persuasive letters of interest, grant proposals, budget narratives and other written communication to potential grantors or donors.

• Review Requests for Proposals, organize critical content components and produce convincing copy to secure new funding that supports new program development and expansion of existing services.

• Edit and proof all written communication to potential funders or donors; work with other members of the Board to adapt tone, style, content or format to ensure all copy is representative of the Foundation’s mission, culture and brand.

• Successfully work both independently and as part of a team.
   

What Yes Is Looking For:

•  BA/BS degree required, preferably in English, Journalism, Advertising, or Communications

•  3 years’ experience in grant writing with demonstrated success in getting projects funded

•  High level content conceptualization and strategic thinking

•  Flawless grammatical construction, copy editing and proof reading abilities

•  Ability to adapt tone, style, content and format to meet a variety of needs

•  Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
